Bakuman ch. 2

I don't believe Bakuman is written by the same people who made Death Note. It has almost no plot, just boring prating about how uncool it is for girl to have good marks in school or how men have dreams that women can't understand at all and blah blah blah WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? And I thought that girl not being able to turn down absolutely random marriage proposal is the worst thing that will happen.

I don't know. Life will be better if we have dream. this manga really has something to think, to feel. Everyone has dream in there soul, in their blood. Even so, somehow or other they soil and bury it. But, when it comeback, you will see life's more meaningfull. And about the chapter 2. It's just a explanation from author when they feel about that stuff. You have your own explanation too. Life is multifold

I agree with you about dreams and stuff like that in general, the problem is I can't see it in Bakuman. Or better to say: I CAN see it there but it's presented in a way I don't like. I think I'm too old for it, it's clearly written for people at junior high or so. It's too straightforward and unreal and obviously too manga-ish to be true. And what I really don't like is ranting about mangakas being geniuses (=Ohba is genius) or Jump being the best manga magazine in the world (so much for subtle advertising). And hints about Death Note (hey kids, go and read my other manga 'cause I'm genius, you know).

I read two volumes and still hated the characters, so no, I didn't changed my mind.
