Saint Beast

I have no idea how I managed to miss this gem for so long. Tons of bishies, romantic sunsets, long looks from eye to eye, super-tight clothes, long hair fluttering in the wind, blushing ukes and protective semes. And angels! Take all these ingeredients, boil them slowly, stir it clockwise and after some time, distil the mixture. What you gain is a quintessence of shounen-ai, pure fanservice, Seinto Bísuto. Were I 12-year-old, I'd love it shamelessly.

Unfortunately, I'm not 12-year-old anymore. But I love it anyway. Because it's funny and crackish and silly and naive. I was laughing hard when watching some scenes. It's like a parody except it's not. The plot doesn't matter because it's stupid anyway. The only thing that matters is fanservice. To show you an example, all the main characters are angels. And angels:
1) wear glasses (because it suits them),
2) can catch a cold (therefore seme can come in hurry and offer his coat),
3) are bullied (therefore seme can come in hurry and save poor uke).
OK, the last one should'n be on the list because bullying among angels is a part of a plot, but the actual scene was so hilarious I had to mention it.
The only thing that is completely unwatchable is fighting. Wanna see angles throwing fireballs?

Go and watch it. Especially the OVAs. But be careful not to eat or drink anything, it'd be life-threatening.

Oh, I almost forgot: SEIYUU ARE LOVE ^__^

I said the Saint Beast is an essence of fanservice. Here is an example. Romantic sunset, naked male body, shy look of current uke. Have I forgotten anything?

OK, let's introduce foursome four main characters. From left to right:
Shujaku no Rey, voiced by Miyata Kouki (Murata from KKM).
Byakko no Gai, voiced by Yoshino Hiroyuki (I don't know him at all, but he sounds a lot like Inuyasha - angry most of the time ^_^).
Genbu no Shin, voiced by our sweetheart, Sakurai Takahiro ♥ (you know, Yuuri from KKM, for example).
Seiryuu no Goh, voiced by Morikawa Toshiyuki (Conrad from KKM... OMG Goh even looks like Conrad!) because Morikawa just has to star in everything I watch XD

Houou no Luca and Kirin no Judas (but they pronounce it as Yuda). Supposed baddies, but we know better... Judas is voiced by Ishida Akira (Saralegi from KKM) and he is the biggest seme of them all. Eveyone wants to kiss his ass. Wait for the pics ^^

Maya (in the middle) and Kira (on the right). Half-angels, half-humans. I have no idea how their father managed to manufacture them, I thought angels are supposed to be sexless... Anyway, can you see Kira's outfit? I had to snap a detailed picture.

Mello would be jealous... If every angel wore tight latex outfit, I'd work hard on being good cute girl to go to heaven to become an afterlife voyeur XD

Zeus and Lucifer. I think I know why the latter was God's favourite... Sorry for not taking picture of his long long hair.

This pic is especially for [livejournal.com profile] karoupin because I know how she loves all that little rabbit creatures resting on your shoulder XD

Anyway, it's supposed to be shounen-ai series, where is the smexiness? Let's present our main pairs!
Judas/Shin. Or if you close your eyes, Saralegi/Yuuri ^_^ Shin is a perfect uke. See? He even blushes! And Judas is only healing his wound. You know, Judas has an ability to heal with his lips - it's probably the ability every seme would like to possess XD

Another "healing" *mwhaha* It's a pity that this scene is most likely the only one with any erotic feeling in it.

Luca/Rey. The only picture I purposely took with subtitles. Guess why XD

Luca and Rey are the only angels (from the main characters) who have wings. I think Goh said something about his being too small *wink*

And wings once more. Let Rey show them to us. Can you see his posture? He is born to be a model.

I think I'm in love with Rey, so let's have some picspam! --- Can you see his cleavage? ಠ_ಠ

The outfit above reminds me of Gunter from KKM. OK, not only that outfit, Rey looks like Gunter's clone. I have a proof:

And another proof!

As I said before, Rey is voiced by the same seiyyu as Murata. It seems they have similar taste in clothes XD

And some lulzy pictures at the end. Have anyone of you been to Barcelona? ^^

STARWARS

A serious piece of information in the end. There are two series and two OVAs. They were made in this order: the series with 6 episodes, the OVAs, the series with 13 episodes. But the chronological order is: OVAs, series 13, series 6. The series with 6 episodes is almost without any actual plot and without any proper ending, but funny anyway. The OVAs are without any plot, but full of fanservice and in fact the most hilarious part of the whole series. The series with 13 episodes has some plot, but it's a pity because it's not so funny anymore and the plot is such a cliché... I haven't finished watching it yet so I can't say more about it.

Bez ironie.

Your comments made me laugh so hard that I scared my co-workers XD. And all these deliberately chosen pictures to please a shonen-ai/yaoi/anime fan(girl)...yummy. I especially enjoyed the parallels to Kyou kara Maou (although Murata in an apron still makes me twitch)^^

As for the rabbit: you will pay for the comment!

Recently, I found out that even Gegen Huber's seiyuu was starring there ^^ In three episodes or so. He was not mentioned at ANN and I was dying to know who has that beautiful voice of Kamui the Golden Wolf... Thanks to wiki I already know ^^

Ahahahaha! You've convinced me to hurry up and watch Saint Beast already! I was interested in it mainly for the seiyuu love, too.

Hehe, somebody probably should watch One Piece... Gengen Huber = Sanji in One Piece = Hirata Hiroaki-san. InuYasha = Usopp in One Piece = Yamaguchi Kappei-san. ~♥ There're some interesting fanservice between Zoro and Sanji to satisfy all the BL fangirls... ^O^

Anyway, just passing by~~

Hi, welcome here! Yeah, seiyuu are love, that's one of the reasons why I prefer anime to manga XP (not that I don't like manga, though). Anyway, Saint Beast is great and funny show, I can highly recommend it, especially a beginning of the first ova.

One Piece? You mean that series with more than 300 episodes and still running? O_o No way, I'm scared of shows like Naruto, Bleach or Prince of Tennis, it's too long for my liking. OK, I saw the whole Inuyasha series (and I hope one day I can find enough time to read manga as well) but it's just an exception, my very first anime series ^^

And it looks like almost every show I saw had at least a bit of BL fanservice or highly slashable characters XD

Hi, hi! I know what you meant about the fear of long series. I have the same phobia. That's why I haven't watched Bleach, Gintama, and PoT, either. I started rewatching anime because of Naruto (and Inu Yasha) and that was BEFORE I knew there're so many episodes. (I still haven't finished Inu Yasha--or rather, I somehow drifted away at some point. Need to pick it up again...)

However, One Piece is a must-see!!! I was afraid of its length and the style at first seemed "ugly" to me, but my brother kept telling me it's the BEST story ever (if you're into fantasy and adventures) so I tried it. The rest was history. I could only kick myself for delaying for so long. (I waited for about 2 years.) It IS the best adventure story, full of laughter and tears. (And the arcs just got better and better. It's amazing!)

It's true, most stories seemed to have some BL service. They're there if you look for them. ^_* Another reason why I also prefer anime over manga. ^O^/

I started watching Saint Beast (the 6-episode series.) I enjoyed the voices, but the story is a bit... @_@;;; Will stick to the end, though.

OK, I can add the series to my to-do-list, but it already has about fifty titles or so XD

The "story" of Saint Beast is utter crap. I can't imagine how they managed to make SIX episode series with fillers (e.g. the episode with a haunted house). And prepare yourself, it won't be better. The series (both 6-episode and 13-episode ones) have no ending at all. It just stops right before the main event we were waiting for.

BTW I love you icon ^^

I like your Gungun mind control icon, too!! ^O^

I sympathize with the to-watch list. I have one of those, too. XDD I finished the 6 episodes of SB. Well, it's not that bad if you expect nothing. I kept thinking about your big seme comment so I was smiling whenever Ishida-san's character showed up and everyone longed to be loved by him. XDD

I might need to take a break before I dare go on to the 13-episode fluff... Need to finish One Piece first... (I haven't caught up to the current episodes yet.) Also need to start watching the new KKM...

Never enough time...

it's not that bad if you expect nothing - yeah, that's exactly the point. No need to hurry with SB, KKM is definitely a better choice XD

My to-watch list is pretty long so shorter series have higher priority. But I have an eye on Monster with 74 episodes - it's said who loves Death Note, he will love Monster too so I'm looking forward to it. And as for BL anime, I haven't seen Mirage of Blaze yet, it's highly placed on the list.

Anyway, next week Antique Bakery anime is starting. I'm so excited! They promised not to omit BL stuff like dorama did, yahoo!
