Saint Beast
Jun. 5th, 2008 09:05 amI have no idea how I managed to miss this gem for so long. Tons of bishies, romantic sunsets, long looks from eye to eye, super-tight clothes, long hair fluttering in the wind, blushing ukes and protective semes. And angels! Take all these ingeredients, boil them slowly, stir it clockwise and after some time, distil the mixture. What you gain is a quintessence of shounen-ai, pure fanservice, Seinto Bísuto. Were I 12-year-old, I'd love it shamelessly.
Unfortunately, I'm not 12-year-old anymore. But I love it anyway. Because it's funny and crackish and silly and naive. I was laughing hard when watching some scenes. It's like a parody except it's not. The plot doesn't matter because it's stupid anyway. The only thing that matters is fanservice. To show you an example, all the main characters are angels. And angels:
1) wear glasses (because it suits them),
2) can catch a cold (therefore seme can come in hurry and offer his coat),
3) are bullied (therefore seme can come in hurry and save poor uke).
OK, the last one should'n be on the list because bullying among angels is a part of a plot, but the actual scene was so hilarious I had to mention it.
The only thing that is completely unwatchable is fighting. Wanna see angles throwing fireballs?
Go and watch it. Especially the OVAs. But be careful not to eat or drink anything, it'd be life-threatening.
Oh, I almost forgot: SEIYUU ARE LOVE ^__^
( Picspam. Image-heavy. I'm not kidding, guys. )
A serious piece of information in the end. There are two series and two OVAs. They were made in this order: the series with 6 episodes, the OVAs, the series with 13 episodes. But the chronological order is: OVAs, series 13, series 6. The series with 6 episodes is almost without any actual plot and without any proper ending, but funny anyway. The OVAs are without any plot, but full of fanservice and in fact the most hilarious part of the whole series. The series with 13 episodes has some plot, but it's a pity because it's not so funny anymore and the plot is such a cliché... I haven't finished watching it yet so I can't say more about it.
